Who I am
I'm Samira Saberi. Before I became a coach, I spent more than 15 years in business, including six years in private and business banking at JPMorgan Chase and Wells Fargo. I bring that business perspective into every coaching conversation.
Today I am an ICF Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with a Leadership Principles Certificate from Harvard Business School. I have coached more than 50 leaders across five countries, in English and in Farsi.
I work with managers, executives and business owners who are struggling with team performance, communication, delegating, conflict, or the weight of carrying too much responsibility. The work starts with self-leadership, because sharper decisions, stronger teams and sustainable results all follow from it. The first conversation is about fit. What Los Angeles leaders tend to bring to coaching
Three situations account for most of the work. The first is a strong operator newly responsible for people, usually promoted out of the job they were best at and now evaluated on one nobody trained them for. The second is a founder whose company has outgrown their personal reach, where the constraint is no longer effort but delegation. How do I find executive coaching near me?
Search by credential first and proximity second, because most coaching now runs over video and the pool of genuinely local ICF PCC coaches is small in any city. If you want to meet in person, Novator Coaching is based in Marina del Rey and comes to you across Los Angeles and Orange County, with Zoom sessions for everyone else.
Is in-person coaching better than online?
The research does not show a meaningful difference in outcome, and video has practical advantages: shorter sessions are easier to schedule, and it removes commuting from a senior calendar. In-person tends to help most in the first session and for team work.

Yes. Samira Saberi coaches in both English and Farsi, which matters most for family business questions and for conversations where a first language carries more precision. Los Angeles has the largest Persian-speaking population outside Iran.
What is the difference between executive coaching and business coaching?
Executive coaching focuses on how you lead: decisions, delegation, presence, and team dynamics. Business coaching focuses on the business itself: growth, structure, and the owner’s role in it. Founders often need both, and the boundary in practice is less clean than the labels suggest.
What is the difference between a leadership coach and an executive coach?
In practice the two overlap almost entirely, and most coaches use the terms interchangeably. Where a distinction is drawn, executive coaching implies seniority — the client runs a function or a company — while leadership coaching covers anyone responsible for other people, including first-time managers. The method is identical. Choose on the coach's credential and experience with your specific situation, not on which of the two words appears in their title.
